Financial Representative

Email: rclousing@rfg-chicago.nef.com
Russ Clousing’s extensive experience in the complex and changing financial services industry makes him a valuable resource for any business or individual seeking financial strategies. A representative of New England Financial since 1986, Russ focuses on Variable and Fixed Annuities where appropriate. Russ also places a special focus on college funding. He offers clients life and disability income insurance to help meet their specific needs, and he uses his understanding of annuities to help his associates design financial strategies with their clients when annuity products are appropriate. Russell also provides corporate sponsored benefit programs, asset managed accounts, and estate conservation strategies. Whether assisting with the implementation of a corporate pension or a 401(k) plan, or assisting in the transfer of a business interest from one generation to the next, Russ enjoys working with business owners and executives to help them reach their financial objectives. As a father, Russ personally finds it hard to believe that for a child born in 1994, the cost of a 4-year private college education may be as high as $150,000 (Edleman, Rick, The Truth About Money, HopperCollins, 1996). Unfortunately, that means that for many families the throught of sending their child to college may become a mere dream. Even for those who have started to plan for this expense early, the traditional savings methods might not be enough. Russ believes that the right financial strategy can put a college education within reach. Throughout his years in the industry, he's stayed on top of the wide range of insurance and investment products. You may be surprised to learn that many of our life insurance products, working in combination with other investments, will let you accumulate tax-deferred income that can be put towards tomorrow's college expenses. Russ would like to help you achieve your educational goals by putting the right strategy to work. Russ is a graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he majored in Economics. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations from the American College. He has membership in the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, as well as the Chicago Estate Planning Council, and serves on the board of directors of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Russ resides in Downers Grove with his wife Lynda and their four children. His favorite ways to relax include golf and swimming. He also dedicates time to the University Club of Chicago and the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church.
